Laura Belsten brings over 37 years of experience in leadership, management, organization development, executive coaching & leadership development experience.
Laura helps CEOs & highly placed executives build positive, emotionally-intelligent organizations, delivering leading-edge, targeted & customized executive coaching & training programs. She coaches executives & teams to better lead their organizations toward strategic performance objectives. Her coaching specialties include leadership, management, social & emotional intelligence, conflict management, executive presence, building trust, providing honest & effective feedback, personal & professional resilience, stress management, and helping executives to thrive & flourish in this volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous world.

Laura’s professional experience included city management, a strategic management consultant to the Colorado Governor (introducing large-scale organizational change into 20 state agencies), and executive leadership at the University of Denver. She also founded the Institute for Social & Emotional Intelligence and has certified over 1000 leadership & executive coaches in social & emotional assessment, coaching & training worldwide.
Laura holds degrees in Business, Psychology & Human Communication (with an emphasis on Leadership & Organizational Communication) from the University of Denver (PhD), and the University of Colorado at Boulder (BA, MPA). She also holds the Master Certified Coach designation from the International Coach Federation, and the designations of Certified Executive Coach & Certified Positive Psychology Coach.
A devoted mother of two accomplished young adults, and grandmother to four lively grandkids, Laura has served on numerous nonprofit boards, donates pro bono services to exceptional charitable organizations, actively mentors young business people, and new executive coaches. She also contributes her time, talents & resources to support international relief work in Africa, and passionately supports causes that lift children out of poverty.
